It might seem strange to see a private company doing work on a state highway, but that might become more common in Texas. The Austin American-Statesman reported that the Texas Department of Transportation is considering outsourcing for routine work on various stretches of interstates. The work could include sign repair, repaving, litter pickup and mowing.
