Keep The Promise

The Future Of Texas Depends On Us Doing The Right Thing Now

In 2011, it was estimated that Texas needed an additional $5 billion per year to keep up with growth and maintain current transportation standards. In 2014 and again in 2015, more than 83% of Texas voted “YES” to make Texas roads and bridges safe and keep people moving without raising a single penny in taxes, fees or tolls.

The funds voters approved are set to be released in September 2017, but HCR 108 threatens to divert that money away from transportation funding. TxDOT is ready to fund vital transportation projects across the state to ease congestion and repair roads and bridges. Without these funds, that won’t happen.
